5 Diamonds / "Infinity Fields"

5 Diamonds is extremely grateful for the professionalism of the Town Board, Planning Commision and staff. This second time thru the system was not a drawn out mess like the ballpark - likely due to better leadership!

Although there were a few people against this development, it seemed these people in the area did not understand the process or were lied to. I urge the readers to view video of the meeting! Most disturbing is the aggression a few people displayed to communicate their opinion. This project cost tax payers nothing, increases a tax base which does benefit tax payers, it does not invade prestine wetlands and gives the youth and adults in the area the ability to improve physically and mentally. Plus, it is a permitted use.

5 Diamonds has over the last few years spent thousands of dollars to preserve our surrounding wetlands on our property.

The experience and success of NX Level, we are extremely proud of this opportunity and partnership. We will continue to strive to make this the best destination in the Town of Waukesha for youths!

You are SO RIGHT, Tom. People were lied to - and those lies even ended up in the Waukesha Freeman, again.

You are right to be grateful, not many communities would change long standing wetland protection and Conservancy zoning ordinances to put up a 42,000 square foot metal building surrounded by wetlands.

Even as John repeated, time after time saying that the Town did not have control of wetlands our town Conservancy district language clearly GAVE us full control. No longer.

Tom, you got your people in place and it is really paying off for you, I give you that.

What a shame our entire community will pay the price.

Although you tout this will help our tax base remember you received another gift under this administration - reduction on the assessment of your 5 Diamonds property.

With that reduction you provide less than $1,500 per year to the town in tax revenue. With the previous gift of approximately $5,000 of fees waived for you (we taxpayers picked up that tab too), we still have a couple of years to go before we even break even.

So let's sum up why you, and not the rest of the town taxpayers, are so happy with John.

Since his election here are the items we are aware of and how you have benefited:

Approximately $5,000 of fees waived;

tax assessment reduced;

rezoned to Park status;

Conditional Use Agreement provisions eliminated;

hours of operation expanded, including longer light times;

approval to serve fermented malt beverages at the youth baseball park;

and just served up - laws changed to allow intrusion and destruction of wetlands.

People spoke extensively at the Public Hearing last night against the changes to the wetlands protections. In fact NO ONE spoke in favor of it.

But clearly the people's voices are not important anymore and either is protecting our community and its natural resources.

I look forward to the start and completion of our State of the Art Training Center! Remember this was unanimously approved by the Planning Commision and approved 4-1 by the Town Board!

Anyone want to guess (except Angie) who will be successful in the coming election? :roll: :roll:
